The Galveston County Health District requires all farmer’s markets in Galveston County, Texas to be certified with the Texas Department of Agriculture.
Food and Produce vendors should make sure the Farmer’s Markets they participate in are certified Farmer’s Markets to avoid costly fines and possible operations shutdown by the Galveston County Health District.
Farmer’s Market Vendors who sell potentially hazardous foods are also required by GCHD to obtain an annual permit.
